Road Closure Notice
Please be advised that road closured will be in effect for the City Parade on May 16, 2026: motorists are encouraged to plan alternate routes and allow additional travel time.

BMF PSA 2026

WHAT

The City of Grand Terrace will host the annual City Parade on Saturday, May 16, 2026, beginning at 10:30 a.m. To ensure the safety of participants and spectators, temporary road closures will begin at 9:00 a.m. and access to some driveways, streets, and businesses along the parade route may be temporarily restricted.

No-parking zones will be enforced beginning at 7:00 a.m. along the parade route and will remain in effect until the conclusion of the event.

WHEN

Saturday, May 16, 2026   

Hours: 7:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.

WHERE

Mt. Vernon Avenue between Grand Terrace Road and De Berry Street.

ROAD CLOSURES INCLUDE

  • East and westbound Grand Terrace Road from Mt. Vernon Avenue to the east parking lot at Terrace View Elementary
  • North and southbound Mt. Vernon Avenue from Grand Terrace Road/Canal Street to De Berry Street
  • East and westbound Barton Road at the Mt. Vernon Avenue intersection
  • East and westbound De Berry Street from Mt. Vernon Avenue to Whistler Street

WHAT TO EXPECT

Traffic: Delays throughout the city

Detours: Please consider alternative routes during the closure period.

Noise: You may experience increased noise from event activities

Safety: Traffic control measures will be in place for the safety of all
